COLLECT INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR 2025
CONVERSATIONS IN SILVER AND METAL
FIVE is a platform celebrating contemporary silver and metal, fostering new dialogues about our material & craft.
The FIVE collective will showcase a diverse selection of contemporary metalwork, featuring both precious and non precious metals including the new addition of niobium and aluminium. We're excited to welcome two new makers: recent graduate Alice Fry and silversmith Rajesh Gogna. Joining them are Angela Cork, Jessica Jue, and Ane Christensen.
The collection, titled ‘Lines of Enquiry’, explores two key themes which runs through all 5 makers work: focus on precision and strong lines and an ongoing curiosity to push the boundaries of contemporary metalwork.
FIVE is a group of five voices united by these shared practices and an exploration of material possibilities.
28th February - 2nd March (previews 26th & 27th February)
FIVE ETHOS
As well as representing this group of makers, the number 'Five' is an important part of a wider strategic plan by the group to give an international platform over time to an ever evolving group of makers and provoke dynamic visual conversations about contemporary metal. To create new opportunities for makers, encourage ambitious new work and develop a wider interest in our craft and inspire the next generation.
FIVE ARTISTS
FIVE consists of UK based silversmiths Angela Cork, Jessica Jue, Ane Christensen, Patrick Davison and Sheng Zhang. We are a diverse mix of exciting emerging and mid-career makers representing a cross section of generations and backgrounds and yet many things unite us.
We are silversmiths with a shared ethos evolving around precision and fine craftsmanship, who apply contemporary ideas to traditional materials and techniques and challenge the preconceptions and expectations of tradition, value, and the use of silver.

CHALLENGING SCALE AND FUNCTION
Themes run through our work around our interaction with environment and we will work with light and surface to create a strong and dramatic setting, using reflection, shadow, and illusion throughout the display. Our aim is to showcase the work as it is intended to be viewed and allow visitors to imagine new possibilities for use and presentation.
